Our COVID-19 Response

  • FROM OUR CEO
  • FAQS

Dear Customer,

First and foremost these are difficult times and I hope that you and your family are staying safe. Here at EasyBins, the health and safety of our customers and employees remain our top priority. I’d like to share some of the recent initiatives EasyBins has undertaken in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Health & Safety – We have further increased the periods and frequency we are sanitizing our facilities and supplies. In addition to using commercial-grade disinfectants, we also provide our staff with cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, and hand washing stations so they can maintain their work areas. Each of our fulfillment centers is sanitized between daily. We continue to closely follow CDC guidance and update our policies and procedures accordingly.

Our Team - Those who work at easybins are on the front lines of the COVID-19 crisis, providing essential food and supplies. We simply could not sustain the service without their dedication, and their safety remains our continued focus. To support their efforts, we have increased our staffing levels at each fulfillment center and authorized unlimited time off at all easybins sites.

Payments – We have noticed payment processors are taking longer to process refunds back into your account. Therefore we have changed our credit card processing to process payments after a delivery instead of when you order is placed. This change is already active, now a hold for the purchase amount is placed on your card at purchase but not charged until after the order is delivered.

Inventory – High demand items are selling out fast. If something is not available, please check back regularly as new items are updated throughout the week. We utilize different locations for inventory everyday and our ability to secure inventory benefits by using many places.

From all the hardworking folks here at easybins – thank you for trusting us to deliver the products you need. To all those that have written in about how you or your loved ones are physically depending on easybins to deliver – you are a strong motivation that keeps our team coming into work every day.

Stay home and stay safe,

James

When will I get my order?

With the recent surge in orders and our fulfillment center teammates are working day and night to make sure your order goes out as fast on time and in full. All orders are currently arriving on time.

Why do some items have quantity restrictions?

Due to high demand, you may see that certain items will have a limit as to how many you can order at a time. This helps make sure that as many of our customers as possible have access to these limited availability items. You may see this as a “max quantity” in your cart.

When will you get more inventory of toilet paper, paper towels, and disinfectant wipes?

The manufacturers of these products are seeing unprecedented demand and are receiving product requests from all retailers. Please check back with us frequently, as we continue to update the inventory in our systems throughout the day.

How do you keep your fulfillment center clean?

We have increased the hours and amount of full-time staff whose sole responsibility is sanitization. All common areas of our fulfillment centers are cleaned with commercial-grade disinfectants. We also are providing cleaning supplies, disinfectants, hand sanitizer and easily-accessible hand-washing stations to our staff so they can maintain personal hygiene and clean work areas before, during and at the end of shifts. There is ongoing training in regards to updated best practices from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institutes of Health (NIH) and state and local public health offices, including personal hygiene, workspace sanitation, and social distancing.

We have also added mandatory daily employee screening for all employees when their shift begins to screen them for high risk factors. To mitigate risk factors and increase safety for our customers and co-workers all employees are required to wear gloves and masks when at work at easybins.

Do I need to take any steps when receiving my easybin?

We have increased the hours and amount of full-time staff whose sole responsibility is sanitization. All common areas of our fulfillment centers are cleaned with commercial-grade disinfectants. We also are providing cleaning supplies, disinfectants, hand sanitizer and easily-accessible hand-washing stations to our staff so they can maintain personal hygiene and clean work areas before, during and at the end of shifts. What are you doing if an employee in your fulfillment center becomes sick or is diagnosed with COVID-19?

Public health experts’ knowledge of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus is increasing. The ability of COVID-19 to live on surfaces and remain an active communicable virus is a developing area of knowledge in the public health community, but public health experts estimate that the virus can live on cardboard for 24 hours or more, and non-porous surfaces for 72 hours or more. Public health experts advise that you wash your hands thoroughly after receiving and unpacking packages, and that any surfaces and packaging within the shipment be sanitized with soap and water and/or disinfecting wipes or other cleaning agents to reduce the risk of transmission.
